Hey There!

I just wanted to let you know I've added a show on Sunday, October 3rd (8:30pm-10:30pm) at The Foundry on Melrose. Every Sunday is their "Suds and Songs" night where beers are $2 and for you wine drinkers... they pour a mean glass of wine! It'll be an intimate, acoustic show with a few guest performers. The best part is... it's FREE! Definitely one of my favorite ways to spend a Sunday night...

Good day to you!

I hope this finds you well and enjoying your summer. I have to say I’m not too happy with summer here in LA thus far. It has been warm for the most part, but not sunny. It’s been a warm, gray summer. Someone told me that means we will have a harsh winter. In LA that just means a lot of rain, but for a city who can’t handle the overflow from a left on water hose… the rain kicks our butt. Guess we shall see!

I had wonderful, wonderful time at Hotel Café on July 10th for my birthday show! Thank-you to everyone who came out; it truly was a special day. There are some videos from the show online so if you go to YouTube and type my name those videos should pop up. I have not been planning any upcoming shows for I’d like to focus on writing and prepping for the next recording project. That said I have been debating on getting some small acoustic shows in there. I’ll keep you posted if so!

I am going to be shooting a music video for “Never Say Never” in early September and will keep you posted on how it’s coming along. The hardest part has been getting the concept in place given the restrictions of money etc. BUT, it’s forcing us to get creative and think outside of the box.

Anyway, I just wanted to drop a line to say “hi”. I want to keep in better touch with you all and hope you’ll drop me a line as well to let me know how you’re doing. Thanks so very much for your support and I hope you have a great weekend!

Happy summer to ya! I can’t believe it’s July already… which means… another birthday for me. One year older… hopefully one year wiser!

To celebrate, I’ll be playing THIS Saturday, July 10th at 8:30pm at my favorite venue, Hotel Café. It’s the first time I’ve ever played a show for my birthday so it would mean the world to have you there!! It will likely be the last full band show I’ll be doing for a while as I prepare for my next recording project. I’m writing and I could not be more excited about these songs!! Ok, back to it… I have a few new players and they’re amazing! We have a great show planned for you and it’s going to be a wonderful night of celebration. I hope to see you there my friend!

I’d like to extend a huge THANK-YOU to everyone who came out to a show during my NW tour! I had an absolute blast and can’t wait to do it again!

I’m booking some shows in Nor-Cal and So-Cal over the next few months and would love to play for you if you are in the area. I hope this finds you well, gearing up for a wonderful New Year! I have to admit... I'm ready to say goodbye to 2009. While it was a great year in many ways, it was a very tough year in many ways. I have a MUCH better feeling about 2010 and cannot wait for what is to come! :)

First, I want to let you know I'll be doing a NW tour starting the end of February through early March and will be touring with 2 members of the band Lunar Sway - www.lunarsway.com. I toured with them earlier this year and it was extremely successful! Not to mention we had a BLAST!

Second, I want to give you an overall nutshell update. :) I am writing and so very excited about these new songs. I'd also like to record a couple acoustic singles - one will be a song never released. On the touring front, aside from the NW, I'll be booking shows in AZ, TX, East Coast and hoping to get over to Europe. It's tricky with funding, but I'm remaining optimistic!

Hello, hello, hello! These past months have been quite a ride, but I'll just sum it up and say I've been sick like never before and FINALLY, finally feeling better. I'm ready to get back on stage and hit the road! I also want to add... for any of you who may be going through some health obstacles as well, look into acupuncture and herbal medicine. ;) Hey... just a recommendation... do what's best for you (that's my lil disclaimer)!

I am currently working on booking shows starting in January and it will be a busy first half of the year from there. With shows in the NW, SW, East Coast and Europe. Goooood times! I'm writing and so excited about getting my ideas out of my head and into this lovely world. I appreciate all of your support in the meantime and if you have not already - STOP by your favorite music store and pick up my EP "Don't Worry... it's Not Love".

Happy summer to you!! I wanted to touch base and give you the “skinny” on what’s been going on and what’s ahead. :)

I just played my first show after SXSW on July 18th and had a wonderful time!! It’s definitely great to be playing live again (after a much needed break following tour and SXSW). That said I’m currently booking shows in Nor-Cal, So-Cal, Arizona & Nevada. I also hope to make it back up to Portland and Seattle this fall. East Coast… I have not forgotten about you! I am currently scheduling a time to make it out there as well.

Aside from performing, I am writing new material and working on some new, fun live performance video’s to share with you. It’s about to get busy so if you’re not already signed up for my mailing list, please do so! I would love to stay in touch and have you a part of my musical family! :D

After my North West tour and SXSW I have to admit I was quite drained; but…deeply inspired! We creative folk are known to be quite sensitive... and because I’m a Cancer it apparently means I’m sensitive on top of sensitive - lucky me! While I am usually, go, go, go… I had some thoughts to sort through…creative juices to try and grab a hold of and several deep breaths to take. I placed my business cap on sideways to allow myself to marinate in my thoughts and ideas for my next project and “where to go from here” mentality. I guess you could say I want to tap more into my creative side and less into my business side. For artists it’s usually the other way around. That said, I’m still very proud of my recent release “Don’t Worry… It’s Not Love” AND it's available on iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, CD Baby and more! There is no excuse; it’s out there and as easy as 1, 2, 3. ANNNND VERYYY reasonably priced. Seriously - $4.95 on iTunes!! I was shocked myself to be honest. Oh, and feel free to share your thoughts on the EP anywhere and everywhere. Yes, even if you think it’s as lovely as burnt toast and cold coffee.

As for touring...I’m scheduled to play Summerfest this July 1st in Milwaukee, WI as one of their Emerging Artists. I’m hopeful I can figure out some shows on the East Coast around then as well. Of course So-Cal, Nor-Cal, Arizona and Nevada are also on my list.

The time has finally come! I leave for tour tonight and I’m really excited! Before I head out I want to update you on a few things...

I added another show in Chico for THIS Wednesday night at 9pm (Nick’s Night Club). I’ve also been selected to showcase at RedGorilla Music Fest March 19th in Austin, TX. It’s the same time as SXSW so it’s going to be a crazy and insanely fun time! PLEASE come show your support in Austin if you will be in the area that week. I’d love to play for you!






I’m also working on booking shows in San Francisco, Sacramento, Santa Barbara and San Diego for all of you in those areas who have asked when I’m coming. :)

My EP is finally here!! “Don’t Worry… It’s Not Love” is my very first EP produced by the ever so wonderful Jim Roach (www.jimroachmusic.com). Working with Jim was such a treat and I can’t wait to work with him again! I’ll save all the gushy sentiments for the EP itself.

I especially want to thank those who invested/ donated to the project. Without you this project would not have been possible and I am deeply humbled by your faith and support. Thank-you! xo

This EP is a personal one. I remember the exact moment I realized these songs were going to be heard by the “public” and my stomach turned into knots. “What are people going to think when they hear this song?” Luckily I got over that pretty quickly. It is way too cathartic to care.

I released the title track today, “Don’t Worry… It’s Not Love” and will be releasing 1 song off the EP each day this week, for a total of 5. I am anxious to share them and hope you’ll give em’ a listen and tell your friends if you like what you hear!! ;) O’h how grateful I would be!! Word of mouth is the best support you can give to an artist such as myself. Which reminds me… PEREZ... FINALLY, the EP is done!! Before I post the songs here or anywhere else, I will be sending the songs to those who donated or invested in this project. They made this project possible and for that I am truly grateful!! :) They will also be the first to receive an autographed copy of the physical EP, which I hope to be ready by December 4th. This is my first EP and I’m still pondering the title. For the longest time I thought I knew what it was going to be… but now, I’m not so sure. I’ll need to decide very soon!! We have to get the art work and everything else completed for duplication.

Happy almost Halloween!! :) I have been so busy over the past couple months but luckily it's all good busy. Here is some of the latest...

RECORDING: My EP is almost done and I’m extremely excited!!! :) My producer Jim and I were in Santa Barbara this past weekend for mixing and I could not be happier!! We are mastering next week and then we’ll be D-O-N-E – DONE! The official release date is December 4th and my CD Release is that night at Hotel Cafe. Check the "TOUR" section for details. It's a show you won't want to miss!!!

During these past few months I did not get much sleep, I got sick right before recording vocals and then fractured a rib the day after recording vocals. My producer got sick, I did some traveling and then we put in a loooong weekend of mixing. I think my producer and I are still feeling the pain. BUT, in the end it was worth it and I can’t wait to share it with you! Overall there are some great things in the works and it means everything to share it with you.
